Sweding Task- Britney Spears

For the Sweding task we were give a music video, the music video was the famous Britney Spears song 'Hit me Baby.' We all got split up in a group of 4-5 people after we had watched the video. Our teachers then gave every group a section of the video to do a very detailed story board on, once we had finished our story board all the story boards were mixed up and given out to each of the groups to go out and film what we thought was happening.

At first I thought making a video is much harder than trying to recreate one but it seems that I was wrong. It may have been due to others lac of vague story boarding but it's also very possible that it was just much harder to get positions of the shots perfect and the timing correct.

Even though everything had been made much easier for us I still believe that the time that was given to us was just not enough for the filming half of the project. We had taking a lot of takes when we had started off but then the group started to get the hang of thing. One other problem that there was, was that the actress that had to be Britney Spear
s had a few difficulty in understanding what position we needed her to be in it may have not all been her fault due to inaccurate directions, but it did all start to work out as every one started to get comfortable.

Editing the video, well when it comes to sweding a video, we had to make sure the song had fit in with the video, so all the words had to match and look as if the actress was singing the song. this by far had to be the hardest part of the project. Editing was not one of my strengths because I had no practise but once I had got the hang of things I started to realise that it just needed a lot of attention rather than it being a quick process. Editing actually took longer than the filming it's self it also helped us fix many mistakes through the mac program rather than us going out and shooting a whole new shot.

Once every group had finished their section the video had been put together and came out better than the original =).
No, everything had been put together and I think that when the classes realised that we made a good remake of the original and in just 2 hours.
